I am a qualified and insured psychotherapeutic counsellor and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a psychotherapist, my primary aim is to create an environment in which the client feels comfortable and safe so that we may travel the sometimes challenging journey together. In line with the BACP guidelines I receive regular supervision which supports and challenges me in my work.

Whilst my training was psychodynamic, my experience as a homeopath also informs my work which means I often use theory and techniques from different schools of counselling and other therapies to form a unique way of working with each client. I recognise that each person is an individual and choose to work in a compassionate way that ensures that the therapy fits the client.

I believe that our past can affect our present, so along with looking at issues in the here and now I also work with experiences from childhood if appropriate. Psychotherapy may be long or short term and we can discuss what may suit you at the initial assessment. Sessions are always 50 minutes long and are at the same time and day each week.  I offer a small number of low-cost, long term psychotherapy places.

If you are ready to make changes to your life and are committed to the therapeutic process and yourself, then this can be a very rewarding journey of endless possibilities.
